Area Christmas services

ASHBURNHAM - A Candlelight Christmas Eve Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24, at Peoples Church, 56 South Main St. All are welcome to bring a donation of non-perishable food items to help those in need.

ASHBURNHAM - Ashburnham Community Church, Main Street, will hold a Christmas Service with children's programs at 9 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 23; a Family Christmas Eve Service (especially for children) at 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24; a Candlelight Christmas Eve Service at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24; and a Special Children's Presentation by the Crossroads Kidz Choir "Mystery of the Manger" at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30.

TEMPLETON - First Church of Templeton, located on the Templeton common, will hold a Service of Light at 7 tonight. This service, sometimes called a "Blue Christmas" service, is usually held on the longest night of the year and is a service of candlelight and remembrance. It is hoped that through this evening of reflection, prayer and remembrance, those who otherwise might have difficulty will be able to experience the hope and joy of the Christmas season. All are welcome.

TEMPLETON - First Church of Templeton, located on Templeton common, will hold a Christmas Eve service at 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24. All are welcome to attend this service of traditional Christmas lessons and carols.
