Local artists invited to shine at Art in the Park
      The Leominster Recreation Department is organizing "Art in the Park at the Johnny Appleseed Festival" on Saturday, Sept. 13, during the annual downtown event. The Recreation Department is offering spaces to artists inside Monument Park. There is a $10 registration fee, and artists must pay 10 percent of all sales to the department.

Fundraiser to benefit individuals with disabilities and families
      FITCHBURG — A meat raffle fund-raiser will be held at 6 p.m. Sept. 20, at the Fitchburg Senior Center, 14 Wallace Ave. The event will also feature a Chinese Auction, theme baskets, vacation getaway, and more. The kitchen will serve New England Clam Chowder, sandwiches and soda. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
