Leominster State Rep. Jennifer Flanagan became the region's largest voice on Beacon Hill after defeating former state Rep. Brian Knuuttila of Gardner for a seat in the Senate. "Oh my god. I don't know what to say," Flanagan told supporters while celebrating her victory at the Best Western in Fitchburg. "I'm shocked.
