On Friday, Dec. 12, as he stood his dark and cold basement that was flooding, Greg Smith received one phone that let him known that he was not going to have to report to his day job — school was cancelled — but then came the call that would keep him busy and away from home for more than a week. (Below) The American Red Cross provided some supplies at the end of last week to the shelter at Oakmont Regional High School. The supplies were unloaded with the help of the National Guard and State Police Trooper David Napolitano, an Ashburnham resident who volunteered his time. More ...
