Westminster Council on Aging announces January events The Westminster Senior Center is open Monday through Friday 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 4 p.m. and is located in the American Legion Hall, 127 Main St. For more information, call Susan Fisher at (978) 874-7402. M.O.C. meals are delivered daily. To reserve a meal, you must call (800) 286- 3441, before 11 a.m. the day before. A minimum of 24-hour advanced notice is necessary to reserve seating on the Council on Aging curb-to-curb van service. The COA has two shopping days a week - Searstown on Tuesday afternoons and to Gardner on Thursday mornings. For more information on the center and its events, call Susan Fisher at (978) 874- 7402. The Westminster Council on Aging would like to extend their deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Virginia Barrett, who recently passed away. As a reminder, if the Ashburnham-Westminster school system is closed due to weather, the C.O.A. Mart van does not run. The Council on Aging office closes only when the Town Hall closes due to inclement weather. If you are in need of fuel assistance this winter, please call the Fitchburg office at (978) 342-4520. The center will be closed on Monday, Jan. 21, in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The Friendship Club will meet on Jan. 16, Feb. 6, Feb. 20, March 5, March 19, April 2, April 16, May 7, May 17, May 21, June 4 and June 18. |
