Some of the recent non-fiction additions to the Forbush collection include two biographies: Susan Roland's "The Pirate Queen: Queen Elizabeth, her pirate adventurers, and the dawn of empire" and sports fans will enjoy "Quiet Strength, a memoir [of] Tony Dungy with Nathan Whitaker." For those who like a touch of history on a cold winter day, try Steve Vogel's "The Pentagon." Two books about U.S. politics are Michael D. Tanner's "Leviathan on the Right: how big-government conservatism brought down the Republican Revolution" and "Henry Kissinger and the American Century" by Jeremi Suri. For a different "take" on reality, read "The World Without Us" by Alan Weisman. Alan Alda (author of "Never Have Your Dog Stuffed") as written another funny and insightful book entitled "Things I Overheard While Talking to Myself." Last, but far from least, right after the holidays, everyone is looking for ways to rid themselves of all the extra goodies they ate in December. Try Kevin Trudeau's "The Weight Loss Cure "They" don't want you to know about." For more information, or to register for programs, call (978) 874-8416. |
