      Top Story: The School Committee voted unanimously to approve girls' and boys' lacrosse as club sports for this year. The committee approved the move after confirming the club teams would be completely self-funded this year and it would not automatically be approved for funding next year.

2008-09 Kindergarten registration
      The Ashburnham-Westminster Regional School District is holding its registration period for incoming kindergarten students until Friday, Feb. 1. Any child who will turn five before Sept. 1, 2008, should register for kindergarten during this period.
