The Spartan Hockey team skated to a 3-3 tie against Lunenburg Wednesday, Jan. 2, at the Wallace Civic Center in Fitchburg. The Spartans out shot the Knights 38 to 20. Scoring for the Spartans was Seth Korich, assisted by Liam Rafferty and Jayson Guavin. Mike Girard netted his first goal of the season assisted by Matt Foley and Matt Biggs. Nick Carter completed the scoring by tying goal late in the third period. CJ Shell assisted Carter's goal. Zack Belliveau played between the pipes and turned away 17 of Lunenburg's 20 shots on net.
