Swenor accepted to NAPFA

Westminster financial advisor Janice A. Swenor of Langtree Associates was accepted for membership in the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA).

"Janice Swenor is a welcome addition to our organization," said NAPFA Chairman Tom Orecchio, a financial advisory in New Jersey, in a press release. "Membership in NAPFA denotes a real accomplishment for any financial advisor. We recently surpassed 1,700 members, and are always pleased when we can strengthen our ranks with welltrained, highly-committed financial advisors."

The membership is granted only to fee-only financial advisors, who are paid directly by their clients and do not receive commissions or other rewards for selling financial products, according to the organization.

"Those forms of compensation create potential conflicts of interest that may serve to undermine an advisor's objectivity and fiduciary responsibility," according to the organization's press release.
