Workshop to focus on resistant

Fitchburg State College will host a day-long workshop for education professionals featuring Dr. Robert Brooks, entitled "Working with Resistant Youth: Strategies for Fostering Motivation, Self-Discipline, and Resilience."

The workshop, sponsored by the Office of Graduate and Continuing Education and the Center for Professional Studies, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, in Weston Auditorium.

The event is geared toward teachers, counselors, school administrators, mental health professionals, parents and other professionals who work with children. Teachers can receive five Professional Development Points (PDPs) for participating in the workshop, and certified counselors can receive five contact (clock) hours.
