Oakmont Ice Hockey news

The Oakmont/Gansett Spartan Hockey team beat Hudson Catholic High School 7-1 at Iorio Arena in Ashburnham on Saturday, Feb. 2.

The Spartans piled 53 shots on the Hudson Catholic goaltender. He played a tremendous game and made 46 saves, although the Spartans controlled the play from start to finish in this contest.

Scoring for the Spartans were Liam Rafferty, Brendan Gallagher, Matt Biggs, Jayson Guavin and Nick Carter. Carter scored a hat trick. C.J. Shell picked up two assists and Shane Harrington and Mike Girard both assisted Biggs' goal.

Zack Belliveau picked up his second consecutive win.
