COMMUNITY CHOICE
Creole Jazz coming to FSC FITCHBURG - The Creole Jazz Serenaders - New Orleans' premiere jazz orchestra - will turn up the heat when the group performs at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, in Weston Auditorium, Fitchburg State College. Their specialty is the music that kept New Orleans hopping in the 1920s and '30s, that authentic New Orleans street and club sound. Dedicated to contemporary performance and recording of classic jazz and Creole compositions, the Creole Jazz Serenaders provide today's audiences with a glimpse of the real spirit of early jazz, a period when jazz was the pop music of the time.
