Legion seeks Boys State applicants

Westminster's American Legion Post 174 is seeking boys interested in attending the 2008 Massachusetts Boys State program, which runs June 14 through June 20 -t Stone Hill College in North Easton. The program is a weeklong hands-on study of government open to boys completing their junior year in high school. Westminster residents are to mail a cover letter, resume and current official transcript to Robert Feeley, 36 South Street, Westminster, MA 01473, by Friday, Feb. 15, for consideration.

The Legion will consider all applicants regardless of their academic achievements. The boys will be judged upon the professionalism of their resume, promptness in applying and their knowledge of government and current affairs. (Boys should be mailing their resume and cover letter themselves and asking the school to send their transcripts.
