Westminster COA's events

The Westminster Senior Center is open Monday through Friday 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 4 p.m. and is located in the American Legion Hall, 127 Main St. For more information, call Susan Fisher at (978) 874-7402.

M.O.C. meals are delivered daily. To reserve a meal, you must call (800) 286- 3441, before 11 a.m. the day before.

A minimum of 24-hour advanced notice is necessary to reserve seating on the Council on Aging curb-to-curb van service. The COA has two shopping days a week - Searstown on Tuesday afternoons and to Gardner on Thursday mornings.

Upcoming Events:

An AARP volunteer will visit the center from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, March 13, for help with tax returns. One-hour appointments will be available. Call the C.O.A. to schedule an appointment.

Diane Moore will lead a gentle stretch class at 9 a.m. each Monday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Call to sign up.

A Senior Series Breakfast will be held beginning at 8 a.m. Friday, April 4, at the center. Scrambled eggs, sausages and muffins will be served at 8 a.m., followed "Ask the Pharmacist" at 8:30 a.m. Joe Serio, pharmacist at the Westminster Pharmacy, will talk about medications and any concerns. Reservations requested.

Join the Forever Young Club for a Bingo Party at Wright's Chicken Farm on Thursday, April 17. Feast upon Wright's oven-baked chicken served family style, then it's time to try your luck at Bingo. The bus will depart from St. Anne's Church at 10 a.m. Cost is $41. For information, or to make reservations, call Mary Lajoie at (978) 827-4882.
