Students honored for good citizenship

Capt. John Joslin, Jr. Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution presented pins and certificates to students from area high schools at a recent award program. Their respective school faculty nominates three senior students and then their fellow classmates elect one student as DAR Good Citizen of the year. Selection is based upon the qualities of service, dependability, leadership, and patriotism. The DAR Good Citizens are given the opportunity to enter a scholarship essay contest.
