The winter sports teams and athletes at Oakmont Regional High School made an impact on both the conference level but also the state level this season.
Two individual athletes competed and won on the state level.
Dylan Billings won his weight class in the State Vocational Wrestling Championship. Billings competed on the team comprised of Oakmont and Fitchburg high school students under the Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School's direction.
Brett Hasching won the state championship in the 600-meter indoor track race during the State Championship meet during the last weekend of February.
The school's teams also achieved success. The Boys' Basketball team made it to the district semi-final game after going undefeated in the Midland and Wachusett Leagues. The team also won the Clark Tournament for the first time in 31 years.
