Special Holy Week services

Peoples Church, located at 56 South Main St., Ashburnham, is open for prayer Monday, March 17 through Wednesday March 19, from 6 to 7 p.m. and all day on Good Friday, March 21. On March 20, Maundy Thursday service will be held at 7 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Good Friday service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, March 21. Easter Sunday services will be held on Sunday March 23: a Sunrise Service will be held at 6:30 a.m. at Meetinghouse Hill in Ashburnham, followed by a community breakfast from 7 to 8 a.m. at Peoples Church and a Sunday Morning Worship Service at 10:30 a.m. at Peoples Church. Rollstone Congregational Church, 199 Main St., Fitchburg will hold Palm Sunday worship on Sunday, March 16. A bake sale will follow the service. All proceeds to benefit its Board of Christian Education. Maundy Thursday will be held at 7 p.m. March 20, and will be a candlelight service in the chapel. All welcome to attend. A free-will offering breakfast will be held from 7 to 8:45 a.m. Easter Sunday, March 23. Easter service begins at 10 a.m.

Crossroads Community Church, 839 Ashby State Road, Fitchburg, will hold Palm Sunday worship at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, March 16, featuring a dynamic testimony of the saving power of Jesus by Jay Glenn. On Good Friday, March 21, at 7 p.m., Crossroads Choir presents "Redemption: The Power of the Cross, an Easter Cantata." Church of the Good Shepherd, 10 Wachusett St., Fitchburg, will hold Palm Sunday worship at 10 a.m. Sunday March 16. A potluck dinner, retelling of Jesus dinner with his friends, will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 20 and remembering Jesus' death on the cross will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 21. The first service of Easter with candles, stories with pictures, music, flowers, and bells will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 22. On Easter Sunday, March 23, at Quiet Easter greeting will be held at 8 a.m., followed by a family service with flowers and music at 10 a.m. and an Easter egg hunt for the children at 11:30 a.m.

Elm Street Congregational Church, 264 Elm St., Fitchburg, will offer the following services during Holy Week. The Dance Revelations' Dance Team will perform during the Palm Sunday morning worship service at 9:30 a.m. A Maundy Thursday service of remembrance and communion will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 20.
