Forbush Library extends book sale

Forbush Memorial Library, located at 118 Main St., Westminster, has extended its huge book sale through Saturday, April 5. Hundreds of children's books have been added to the sale. Feel free to bring your own bags. Prices reduced to $1 for two bags. For information, call (978) 874-7416.

Historical Society to discuss Route 2

The Westminster Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, at society headquarters at 110 Main St. The focus of the meeting will be on Route 2 and the changes that have occurred in Westminster through the years because of it.

The Historical Society is in the process of writing a history of Westminster covering the last fifty years, and the information gathered at this meeting will become a part of the book. This Historical Society meeting is open to the public; refreshments will be served following a short business meeting and this program.

Boating Basics Course to be held

A Massachusetts Boating Basics Course will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. April 1, 2, 8, 9 and 15, at the Ashburnham Senior Center, 12 Memorial Drive. Boat Massachusetts is offered to the pubic at no charge. The primary purpose is to foster safe boat operation through increased awareness of required safety equipment, safe boating practices, and legal responsibilities. All five classes required.
