Spring concert to benefit teen aids program
FITCHBURG - Fitchburg State College Class of 2010 will host its annual spring concert, to benefit teen aids, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, in front of Russell Towers patio, at the college. A bake sale will be held, along with collection cans for the "Chuck your Change for Condoms and a Cause" fund-raiser. All proceeds will go directly to Teen Aids. Featured speakers include members of the Class of 2010, John Chittick, the founder of Teen Aids, and Ben, an inspiring 18-year-old living with HIV. Featured guests will include Fitchburg Mayor Lisa Wong and Rep. Jen Flannagan (D-Leominster) as well as several other special guests. The event will also be featured on a global Web cast. Rain date is April 17. The public is welcome to this event, a $5 donation is requested.
