Superintendent's Dinner upcoming

Monty Tech gears up for 21st annual gala.

Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School's 21st annual Superintendent's Dinner will be held Wednesday, April 9, at the school.

The gala event - the school's major fund-raiser - is sponsored by the school's Business Education Enrichment Fund (B.E.E.F.) to raise money for scholarships, programs and activities not covered by the regular school budget. This year's theme is "An Evening In Tuscany," and will feature appetizers, dishes, wines, music and decorations reflecting the region.

A social hour starting at 5 p.m. will include champagne, seafood bar, cheese and fruit trays, antipasti (a wide assortment of hot and cold appetizers) and a Tuscan sauté station. The six-course gourmet dinner will follow at 6 p.m. with Tuscan Steak Fiorentina, thyme mascarpone potato gratin and fresh seasonal vegetables as the entrée.

As a thank you for attending, each guest will receive a "Shaker" style sofa table crafted by students and teachers in the cabinetmaking program.
