United Way celebrates region's volunteerism

The United Way of North Central Massachusetts recognized its contributors and volunteers at Four Points by Sheraton last week for their support of the Community Impact Fund, which funds over 60,000 health and human services annually.

In addition to recognizing numerous companies and employees for their financial contributions, three area companies received a Chairman's Award for their outstanding campaign results.

North Middlesex Savings Bank grew their campaign over last year by 20 percent, the City of Gardner employees nearly doubled the amount raised, and Workers' Credit Union was lauded for growing Leadership Giving, employees contributing $500 or more.
