Cleet J. Allen, 48

WESTMINSTER - Cleet J. Allen, 48, of Westminster, a former long-time resident of Franklin, died Saturday, March 29, 2008, at Miriam Hospital in Providence, R.I.

Born in Norwood on April 10, 1959, he was the son of the late Vernon C. "Slim" and K. Patricia (Flanagan) Allen. Raised in Franklin, he was a graduate of Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood and later attended the University of Vermont.

Mr. Allen had been employed with the Digital Corporation for 20 years prior to working in the computer field as a consultant. He had been a lector at St. Mary's Church in Franklin and had been a member of the Third Order of St. Dominic in Dover. He moved to Westminster three years ago.

He is survived by three sisters, Jeanne Mingels of Greenville, S.C., Jay (Mingels) Obuchon and her husband, George, of Plymouth, and Pallas (Allen) deBettencourt and her husband, Jim Wahl, of Providence; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was also predeceased by two brothers, Jeffrey Mingels and Gerry Mingels.

Memorial donations may be made in Cleet's memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Roberts-Mitchell Funeral Home of Millis directed arrangements.
