Museum blooms with art show

FITCHBURG - Fitchburg Art Museum galleries, located on Merriam Parkway, are in flower this spring during Art In Bloom 2008, to be held Friday through Sunday, April 25-27, with extended hours on Saturday and Sunday (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Museum members and Laurelwood Garden Club members will render floral interpretations of paintings in the galleries, and activities include presentations on gardening topics and docent tours as well as floral displays by professional gardening institutions. A gala gourmet dinner, "Taste of Spring," which brings samplings presented by favorite local restaurants and caterers sponsored by Avidia Bank, is planned for Friday evening.
