Boys' tennis starts season strong

The Oakmont Boys' Tennis team play at West Boylston on Monday, April 14, winning 3-2.

In the first singles game, Tom Palmer of Oakmont, defeated Jake Sander, o West Boylston 6-1 and then 6-3.

In the second singles game, Oakmont's Zackary Hathaway defeated John Welch, of West Boylston, 7-6, (9-7) 3-6, 6-3. And in the third game of the day Sawyer Mahoney, of Oakmont, beat Kyle Garceau, 6-3, 6-3.

In one of the day's double match Ben Norton and Paul Bidgood, of West Boylston, defeated Oakmont's Chris Brouillet and Ken Murphy, 6-1, 6-2. In the other double's match, Matt Staychoff and Greg Phelps, of West Boylston, defeated Karl Wing and Andrew Richard, of Oakmont, 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.

Oakmont has an undefeated season in their first two matches.
