Quilt & Textile Show and Auction planning

The Westminster Historical Society is looking for anyone interested in helping with a big quilting, textiles and vintage clothing upcoming event. Everyone is invited to attend the first organizational meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, at the Historical Society House, 110 Main St., Westminster. This will be a brainstorming evening and everyone is asked to bring their ideas and experiences. Attendees do not have to be a resident of Westminster to attend.

The Historical Society's first big event planned for the celebration of the town of Westminster's 250th anniversary of its incorporation will be an entire weekend of events for those interested in quilts, old textiles, and vintage clothing. Some ideas to be discussed will be a quilt show, a vintage clothing fashion show, an auction of quilts, textiles and vintage clothing, a day of vendors selling quilting cloth and supplies, and a Massachusetts Quilt Documentation Day.
