Performing Arts series honors Holocaust Remembrance Day
FITCHBURG - The Fitchburg Public Library Sunday Performing Arts Series will present a special concert, in observance of Holocaust Remembrance Day, at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 4, at the library, 610 Main St. Pianist Virginia Eskin and singers Diane Cushing and Gladys Johnsen will present a multi-media program of music with images from the Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C. The program consists of works by composers who either fled their homes during Nazi invasions or were sent to concentration camps between 1933 and 1945. This will be the final concert in the 2007-2008 season. Sunday's concert will begin at 2:30, with doors opening at 2:15. Admission is free. For information,
