Families and their dogs invited to walk

LANCASTER - The 2008 Whisker Walk, a multi-organizational benefit (and walk) for New England's animal shelters and rescues, will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 8, at the Lancaster Fairgrounds, Route 117, Lancaster. The walk begins at noon. Free admission.

Multiple non-profit animal rescue groups and any pet-related vendors or manufacturers will come together for the first of its kind "event not to be missed" for pet lovers. Pet owners and animal lovers walk to lend a paw for the shelters/rescues they love - as well as come to see exhibits, demonstrations, educational programs, special attractions, product giveaways, entertainment, food, fun and things for adults and children to see, do and buy - both human and pet related. To sign up to walk as an individual or group, please go to www.sterlingshelter.org or call (978) 422-8585.
