Students honored at Fitchburg State College

Fitchburg State College students were honored with academic awards for "excellence in scholarship" at the college's 31st annual Spring Honors Convocation. Local residents receiving awards included: Nancy Bakanowsky, of Ashburnham, the Outstanding Graduate Student in Elementary Education Award; Cody Kucker, of Westminster, the Louis P. Shepherd Creative Writing Award; Brendan Arsenault, of Westminster, the Outstanding Senior in Computer Science; and Donna Bustin, of Ashburnham, the Roder-Sgan Award in Psychology. The following students, members of the Leadership Academy were honored: Jessica Piedrafite, of Ashburnham, and Cassandra Holmes, of Ashburnham.
