Westminster COA announces May events

The Westminster Senior Center is open Monday through Friday 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 4 p.m. and is located in the American Legion Hall, 127 Main St. For more information, call Susan Fisher at (978) 874-7402.

M.O.C. meals are delivered daily. To reserve a meal, you must call (800) 286-3441, before 11 a.m. the day before.

A minimum of 24 hour-advanced notice is necessary to reserve seating on the Council on Aging curb-to-curb van service. The COA has two shopping days a week - Searstown on Tuesday afternoons and to Gardner on Thursday mornings.

Events for the month of May:

Crocker Pond will be opening on Saturday, May 24. To get stickers for the pond, visit the Town Clerk's Office.

The Council on Aging/Senior Center will be closed on Monday, May 26, in observance of Memorial Day.

A Senior Breakfast will be held at 8 a.m. Friday, June 6, at the center. Pancakes will be served.

Friendship Club to meet The Westminster Seniors Friendship Club will meet at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, in St. Edward's Church Hall, Church Street, Westminster. Joanie Elbourne, field editor for the magazine, "Taste of Home" will talk about the food featured in the magazine. Persons of all ages from any towns are invited.
