A thanks for the support and attendance
Letter to the Editor

To the Editor:

This letter is being written to those of you in the Oakmont, and surrounding communities, for your generous attendance and support on Saturday, May 10, for "The First Annual Jordyn Taylor Kalagher Field Hockey Benefit and Fun Day." Jordyn lost her life in a tragic car accident in December of last year, and this day was put together by "The Friends of Jordyn" to remember her with joy, smiles and laughter. And that it was … the sun was shining, everyone was smiling, and the Oakmont sports areas were filled to the brim with the sounds of laughter. We are proud to say the day was a "smashing success," and far more than we'd ever expected it to be. All proceeds from the event have gone directly to Jordyn's Scholarship Fund, and her parents, along with administration at Oakmont, will decide on the recipients of the scholarships.

We would like to officially thank all of you who've supported this worthwhile cause, and we'd like to send out a special thank you to Mr. David Uminski, principal, and Mr. Greg Smith, assistant principal, of Oakmont Regional High for their patience, compassion, generosity and time to help make this day so incredibly successful.
"The Friends of Jordyn"
