ASHBURNHAM - Historical Piano Concerts' twenty-third Spring season continues with a two-concert weekend; however, due to a family emergency, pianist Dmitry Rachmanov canceled his two announced recitals of works by Schubert.
Instead, Saturday's concert will be performed by the Prisma Trio: Ana-Maria LaPointe, violin, Ning Tien, 'cello, and Silvia Bota, piano. Their program will include trios by Mozart and Schubert, and a violin-'cello duo by Beethoven.
On Sunday afternoon, pianist Sarah Grunstein will perform solo works by Chopin (program to be announced).
The concerts will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 24, and at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 25, at the Ashburnham Community Church, Main Street.
Both concerts will feature a concert grand piano made by Erard, of Paris, France in 1839, from the Frederick Collection of Historical Pianos.
Admission to each concert is $10, children and students, free. Advance reservations are not necessary. For information, visit www.FrederickCollection.org, or call (978) 827-6232.
