Town Hall tree removal was a positive change

To the Editor:

At first I was dismayed to read of the removal of the trees in the front of the Town Hall.

They were a gift to the town from my Girl Scout troop and Nell Farrand's troop in the 1960's.

Four trees were planted along Main Street in large ceramic tubs but they hindered the plows so they were transplanted to the front of Town Hall. They grew tall and strong and eventually cut to hedge size until recently removed.

Now we can clearly see the beautiful architectural structure of our Town Hall.

Thank you. Good job.
