Drama to honor the heroes and victims

The Youth Theatre Company of the Christian Performing Arts Center in Fitchburg will perform the play "Strength of Our Spirit, The Vision of Anne Frank", by Cynthia Mercati, at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at Congregation Shaarei Zedeck, 105 Water St., Clinton. The cast includes (l. to r.) Emily Shaffer of Ashburnham, Ryan Leger of Fitchburg, Meredith Patterson of Fitchburg, Mack Rogers of Leominster; Jessica Potts of Fitchburg, Brianna McDonough of Townsend, Aubrey Watson of Fitchburg, Melissa Agin of Westminster, and Samantha Ervin of Princeton.

Through hauntingly realistic dialogue, imaginative staging, and timeless poetry written during the Holocaust, this play introduces audiences to brave men and women who, despite their own imminent deaths, reached out to their neighbors.

The Youth Theatre Company is an ensemble-acting group composed of 15 youth, ages 11 to 19 years. Admission is free. Due to the heavy subject matter and realistic content of this play, it is recommended for mature youth and adults.
