Pinestock outdoor Christian concert to be held

The legendary Woodstock music festival offered "three days of peace and music." With a similar name, but shorter in duration and with a Christian message, the upcoming Pinestock promises "three hours of faith and music."

Pinestock will be held on Saturday June 21, (rain date June 28) at Camp Pineshore, located on Wyman's Pond, Westminster. This outdoor Christian concert is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. and will feature performances by Bill Mallia and the Gulf Stream Band, Samuel Bowen, Crossfire, and Walk By Faith.

The camp is owned by Messiah Lutheran Church in Fitchburg and has been the location of a youth Bible camp ministry and Christian fellowship for decades.

The idea for Pinestock was conceived by John Paajanen, who is director of the organization that conducts the Bible Camp ministry at Pineshore and is involved in the Pineshore facility committee.

Suggested donation for the event, which includes the concert and a barbecue, is $10 per person or $25 per family. Please e-mail jpaajanen@juno.com for more information.
