Lions help out Scouts building

Ashburnham Lions Club President Larry Bennett presents the Chairman of the Bresnahan Scouting and Community Center Ron Skaife a $1,000 collected during the annual Lions Boot Drive. The group that included John Comeau, Lion George Simmons, Eugene Dancause, Jane Dancause, Mary Jane Handy and Harry Powers gathered in front of the old Scouting Center, which will be torn down and replaced by a new community center. The Bresnahan Committee will present final building plans and trust to the Ashburnahm Board of Selectmen at the board's meeting on June 16 at 7 p.m. COURTESY PHOTO
