Oakmont Tennis Takes on District Play
Boys' Tennis loses to Quabog in district play

Oakmont Boys' Tennis Team took a swing a district play on Friday, May 30, but lost in a 5-0 shutout against Quaboag.

Both Oakmont and Quaboag had earned byes in the first round of play so they faced each other in the Quarter finals of the 2008 Boys' Tennis Central Division playoffs.

In singles play Steven Baker of Quaboag defeated Tommy Palmer 6-4, 7-6 (7-2); Jay Toppin defeated Zachary Hathaway 6-2, 6-4; and Caleb Demers defeated Sawyer Mahoney 6-2, 6-2.

In doubles play Scott Schillieto and Andrew Sparks of Quaboag defeated Chris Broulliet and Andrew Richard 6-0, 6-1; and Zac Button and Nick Schiosstein of Quaboag defeated Karl Wing and Kenny Murphy 7-5, 6-4.
