      Lions to host fundraiser The Ashburnham Lions next fundraising event is scheduled for Saturday, June 28, at the Ashburnham Downtown Day. A Silent Auction and 50/50 auction will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., followed by a Chicken BBQ from 5 to 7 p.m.

RMV paperwork has now been filed

      It appears appropriate paperwork was filed this month with the Registry of Motor Vehicles for school buses to be garaged in Ashburnham, ending a long-standing discrepancy with the school district's transportation contractor and likely bringing thousands of dollars into the town.

GFA branch to open in 2009
