Paul F. Lambert, 61 Has a passion for photography; was U.S. veteran

WESTMINSTER - Paul F. Lambert, 61, of 35 Dawley Road, died Thursday, June 5, 2008, at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester after an illness.

He was born in Weymouth on Dec. 7, 1946, the son of Gerard Lambert and the late Grace (Moro) Lambert.

He was educated at Northeastern University, doing undergraduate coursework in mechanical engineering; at Boston State College he received his Bachelor of Science in political science with honors, magna cum laude; at Louisiana State University he received his Masters in Political Science, and finally at Ohio State University, he did course work and general examinations for his Ph.D. in Political Science.

Paul served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam as a SP5 Still Photographer from 1970-1973.

He worked at the Pentagon as a photographer, photographing many military personal and dignitaries during his career. He also worked for Bentley College in Waltham, as a senior research consultant, at Children's Hospital in Boston as an applications specialist, at Harvard University in Cambridge as a technical specialist/ manager, and for the Gardner Public School System, in Gardner as a database administrator.

Paul's passion was photography, which was a major part of his life, he was also the photographer for the Drum Corp International, a member of the Christ Church in Fitchburg where he served on the former Camp Monomonac Camp Committee for many years. He was a dad helper for the Dance Center in Winchendon, assisting with setting up, fundraising, and props for the recitals and dance competitions, he also filmed and photographed, and assisted with setting up and painting sets, and props at the Theater at the Mount, Mount Wachusett Community College, and Oakmont Regional High School.

He leaves his wife of 28 years, Lyn Dee (Miller) Lambert; three children, Gregory Lambert, Emily Lambert, and Nicholas Lambert all of Westminster; his father, Gerard J. Lambert of Norwell; one brother, Gerard J. Lambert of Duxbury; and one sister, Sheila Shanahan of Whitman.

In lieu of flowers, Paul's family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 350 Plantation St., Worcester, MA 01604. The Westminster Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes directed arrangements.
