Brewerton earns high GPA
      Scott J. Brewerton, of Ashburnham, made the spring 2008 Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs' List at Truman State University in Kirksville, MO. Students must attain a 3.5 to 3.99 grade point average during the semester in which they complete 12 credit hours to make the list.

      Two local residents graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell as members of the class of 2008. Phillip Hagar, of Ashburnham, and Jessica Anne Popik, of Westminster, each graduated this year.

      Only eight students in Central Massachusetts are chosen to sit on the State Student Advisory Council for the Massachusetts Board of Education and one of them is the Oakmont Student of the Month Nathaniel Gracie. Gracie served on the Oakmont Student Advisory Council this school year.
