Letters to the Editor Policy The Community Journal welcomes letters to the editor focusing on local news or events as well as other issues important to community residents. Letters should be 500 words or less, and should include the writer's name and contact information in order to verify authorship. We will not publish that contact information. Writers are limited to one letter every 30 days. Those wishing to write at greater length on a subject can submit a Speak Out column at a maximum of 1,000 words. Individuals are limited to one Speak Out piece every 60 days. The editor reserves the right to reject letters or edit for clarity, brevity, good taste and accuracy and to prevent libel. You can send us letters to the editor by e-mail to editor@thecommunityjournal.com, by fax to (978) 827-3200, or by mail to The Community Journal, P.O. Box 67, Ashburnham, MA 01420. The deadline for letters is Tuesday at noon, and letters are published in the order in which they are received if space is limited. For more information or questions regarding the letter to the editor policy, please call News Editor Caitlyn Kelleher at (978) 827-3386. Thank you, we look forward to hearing from you. |
