Society offers basket workshops

The Westminster Historical Society is offering Shaker style basket workshops this summer at the American Legion Hall, 127 Main St., Westminster. The first workshop will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, July 14. Participants will make a 9-inch round basket, with a closed woven bottom and two handles. Cost is $28. The second workshop will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18. Participants will make a rectangular CD (or mail or napkin) basket with a "D" handle. Cost is $25.
