A day for the community to play
     J.R. Briggs Elementary school nurse Krista Penning barely has a lead in the Scooter Race over Westminster Elementary/Meetinghouse School Assistant Principal Kathy Kelley during the Scooter Races held during the second intermission of the Eighth Annual Community Benefit Hockey Game. Community to vote for favorite volunteer project
      United Way's Community Builders is asking the public to vote on their favorite volunteer project as part of a National Volunteer Week promotion. "We have eleven projects posted and the community can vote for their favorite volunteer project right online," commented Karin Oliveira, director of United Way's Community Builders, which promotes volunteerism.
