Overlook teams pick up speed as the season continues
      The 2009 version of the Overlook boys' and girls' cross country teams ran their first meet at home against Gardner on Sept. 9 with both teams winning against the smaller Gardner squad. In the girls' race, seventh grader Rebecca Behringer won with in her best time of her career edging out teammates Shannon Leahy and newcomer Lisa Gifford.

Oakmont Track Round-up
      Saturday, Sept. 26: The Oakmont boys' cross country team finished sixth out of 31 teams in their division at the 35th annual Manchester (N.H.) Invitational Race. Sean McGuirl finished nineteenth out of a field of 226 runners. Chris Greenlee also earned medalist honors by finishing twenty-seventh.
