Oakmont Track Round-up Saturday, Sept. 26: The Oakmont boys' cross country team finished sixth out of 31 teams in their division at the 35th annual Manchester (N.H.) Invitational Race. Sean McGuirl finished nineteenth out of a field of 226 runners. Chris Greenlee also earned medalist honors by finishing twenty-seventh. Rounding out the top five places for the Spartans were Nathan Young, Eric Ouellette and Christian Robichaud. Oakmont is 5-0 and travels to Nashoba on Thursday, Oct. 1. In the boys' freshman race brothers George and Henry Condon finished seventieth and seventy-sixth for the Spartans, in a field of 190 runners. In the Girls race at Manchester, Oakmont's Krysta Zbikowski finished thirty-fourth in a field of 158 runners earning her medalist honors. Also running strong for the Lady Spartans were Lauren Ouellette (86) and Lindsey Brunell (93). The freshman Lady Spartans also had great performances from Hayley Barry (57), Sadie Zbikowski (64) and Kerry Kupcinskas (67) who ran great races in a field of 145 runners in the girls' freshman race. |
