(THURSDAY, 9:45 A.M.) Ashburnham-Westminster Regional Schools Superintendent Michael Zapantis announced his pending retirement at the school committee meeting on Wednesday. “It has been a pleasure to serve as superintendent of schools and to work with such a dedicated staff and school committee for the past seven years,” Zapantis wrote in his letter to the school committee. He read the letter as part of the meeting.
