WEB UPDATE: Spartans are Super Bowl Champs
(SATURDAY ) The Oakmont varsity football team captured the Division 3A Championship with the Super Bowl win against Littleton this morning.
The Spartans capped off their season with the 29-19 win. The Littleton Tigers kept the game close, even leading at points, until the well-into the fourth quarter, when they turned over the ball twice to the Spartans. The Spartans took advantage of both turnovers to take over control of the score board.
“These guys deserve it. It was a fantastic season start to finish,” said Coach David LaRoche, after the game.
