Local officials concerned about lack of source for state money

Days after Ashburnham-Westminster teachers agreed to take a furlough to prevent layoffs, the governor announced his intentions to repeal millions of dollars’ worth of midyear cuts to Chapter 71, the state fund that reimburses regional school districts for transportation, shocking local and state officials.
