North Central Youth Basketball League weekly round up
      The fifth grade Lady Spartans improved their season record to 7-1, with a 36-5 victory over Naragansett Sunday, Jan. 31. Kenzi Cole, Lindsey Russ and Charlotte Ward spear headed the Spartans defense with several blocked shots and steals.

Indoor soccer clinic being held now
      Mass Premier Soccer is hosting an indoor training soccer program at Cushing Academy this winter. MPS Program organizers say the aim is to bring top class coaching to the area and run youth teams starting this spring.

Oakmont Outlaws start indoor training for spring teams
      For the next seven Saturdays (now until March 20), the Oakmont Outlaws traveling soccer program will hold indoor training sessions for their 2010 Spring teams. The sessions, held at the Mount Wachusett Community College Fitness and Wellness Center in Gardner, will be run by the Oakmont High School Varsity Boys’ Coach Markens Benoit.

House of Champions to hold vacation camps
      LEOMINSTER- A Youth Baseball Camp will be held Monday, Feb. 15, through Thursday, Feb. 18, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the House of Champions, 529 Lancaster St. For players age 12 and under, the camp will focus on positional play, base running, pitching skills, and daily batting. Players will participate in games and competitions.
