Church grateful for pantry donations

To the editor:

The Ashburnham Community Church Outreach Committee would like to thank the many local businesses, organizations, schools and community for their overwhelming and generous donations of money and food this winter to our food pantry.

In addition to distributing staple food items to the families, we were also able to provide Thanksgiving turkey baskets to 21 families and Christmas turkey baskets to 27 families for the holidays!

We currently service 25-30 families each month with both a non-perishable food allotment and a fresh food voucher to the Ashburnham Marketplace.

Upcoming events, to help our pantry, include a March Math-a-thon Food Drive where students will use their math skills against other classes to determine averages, means, modes etc. of the collections, a Christian Concert where the admittance fee is a non-perishable food item, as well as more food drives.

Donations are welcome throughout the year. Many organizations continue to donate throughout the spring and summer months when pantries are at a low.

If you would like to make a donation to the food pantry to help local families, you may send your donation to: Ashburnham Community Church, P.O. Box 929, Ashburnham, MA 01430.

Thank you, once again, for your continued support.
