Westminster Selectman Nicholas Hay resigned from the select board Monday 72 hours after he was arrested for drunk driving in New Hampshire. Hay was arrested by the Jaffrey Police Department at the scene of a single-vehicle accident at 6:40 p.m. on Friday, March 5. Hay did not brief statement he made at Monday’s selectmen’s meeting. LEOMINSTER — Immacolata “Tina” (Ricci) Cappuccitti, 81, of Leominster, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at the Keystone Center after an illness. Tina was born in Italy on Feb. 22, 1929, daughter of Michele and Luisa (Ricci) Ricci and lived in Leominster for the past 47 years. More...
State Sen. Stephen Brewer (D-Barre) visited Ashburnham last Thursday to highlight the need to provide home care for the elderly population. Brewer visited with 80-year-old Theodore Holmes Sr. and his son at their home on Corey Road.
